Front Sproket on a 300EX
#1
I have a stock 300EX. I was wondering how I would fit a one tooth bigger front one on it. The guard seems to be in the way. BTW how much bottom would I lose if I went up a tooth and how much top would I gain.
Thankx

I have a 14 tooth front sprocket on my '98 300EX. You do have to take the case saver off for it to fit. There is no needing a larger chain either. Mine fit right on, the only thing you lose is that case saver. I gained about 5 mph on top end, and the bottom end I don't even notice a difference. It is definitely worth getting a bigger sprocket for the front.

Yeah, i got a 14 on mine, and guess what, i still have the chain guard on mine. It just takes a little shaving of it to thin it out and then the sprocket will go on it with the guard in place. I'm at 58 mph now, not sure what i was at before. Low end is still there. The honda puts out so much that if i geared it higher it would go even faster, ya know why? Cuz Honda's got NUTS!
