i have a 99 kodiak and i need new tires. i was thinking about getting bearclaws but also getting bigger ones as well. perhaps 26x9x12 front and 26x12x12 rear. my machine is geared fairly low so i think i might even gain a little in speed. my main concern are the sizes. do you think they will rub at all. should i get all 4 in the 26x9x12 for front and rear. will they rub at all in the front. also is 26x12x12 too much for the rear. thanks for all the help.

I have 2 Kodiak's 93 and 02. I have 4 26x12x12 on my 93 which looks more like your 99. As far as the rear rubbing (they don't, at least not on mine). However I don't like the 26x12x12 in the front because I find that it makes the steering heavy. I often change the tires from the 93 to the 02 depending on what I need the atv to do that day. Once my dunlop's wear out a bit more I will be putting the 26x9x12(Front) and 26x12x12(Rear). This way the steering stays light yet you gain a little in the clearence.

But if you don't care about the steering the go 12's all around.

Good Luck
Marc
