What is the best way to make the stock gas tank look new. What have you guys tried? What worked? What didn't? Any ideas would be appreciated.

 

If it's metal, strip it use some bondo to fill in any dents and paint it. I just did a 125m gas tank and it came out extremely good concidering I am really bad with body work. It did take the better part of a day and lots of elbow grease. For a pastic tank, either buy a new one or if it only has light scratches, sand it down and polish it.
