Ok,
This is bothering me. I just installed a Yosh Full Titanium system on my '02 Raptor. Along with it a stage 2 Dynojet kit with the 146,148 Jets which are recommended by Dynojet with a full system exhaust. I may just be over cautious but if I let it idle for a minute or so in the pitch dark I can see the header pipe start to glow red. I'm beginning to fear its running lean. I've never run it full open and stopped to see if it was glowing (the neighbors would kill me at night, it's LOUD!) but what do you people think? Will a titanium pipe glow a bit? By the way the pipe is awsome makes it feal like it was a riding lawnmower without [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Checking your plugs are gonna be your true tattle tail. if it plays on your head that much up your pilots up to 25 or 27.5. 22.5 are stock and i had the same prob with the ct set up. Cured it for me. try it, may cost you 5$.

 

hi there well im having the exact same problem but when i bring the rpm's up out of gear the engine surges and in gear it doesnt surge ..does your engine surge????let me know what the fix is please??????????

 

I drilled the 2 - 1 3/4 holes in the airbox as recommended by yosh. That solved the sputtering. The header pipe still glows a bit at idle and after riding, but other than that it runs like a champ. No bogging or backfires and the plug checks out good.

hey this is not uncomon on your higher reveing yammies the glowing that is.I have a yz426 and it looks like a lighter on wheels at night.I took it back to the dealer they said it was normal and its a year old now and no problems as a result of the glowing.good luck!!

 

hey do you know any thing about the surging ??? out of gear it starts to surge when you bring up the rpm..but when your in gear there is no surging?????Text[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
