not worth the money. Buy NGK. When I had my motor built I asked the same question, it took my ear a couple of hours to cool off from the tongue lashing.

A split fire or any other spark plug can only deliver the spark from the power it gets from the coil.

They won't do anything for you except drain your wallett. Go buy 5 NGK's for the same price.

Don't waste your money on a split-fire.
All hype.

As mentioed before, get yourself some NGK sparkplugs, and make sure they are gapped properly.

I have heard that using Splitfire plugs voids the factory Ford and Chevy warranties. I'm not sure why, but this came from certified mechanics.

I like the "G" (BR8EG) series plugs from NGK for 2-stokes. They have a small electode and I have yet to foul one. For 4-strokes, I like the V series. They use the splitfire idea but instead of the ground strap having a V in it, it comes to a point.

The guy at our local race shop says they are a scam.

i tried them some years ago,they work for sure,it add some response and torque gains but at top end expend ALOT,so on a 2 stroke engine the powerband while using splitfires plug became strong at bottom end and FLAT SPOT at top end,the ngk run good trough the whole powerband and are cooler too.i mean splitfires spark plugs are good for low revving,underpowered engines,in the powersport market i just don't see any avantages.

Splitfire's = snake oil...

If you noticed changes in power, it was probably due to differences in heat range, not the plugs themselves. The spark follows the path of least resistance, PERIOD.

There's good reason the FTC doesn't allow Splitfire to make their wild claims anymore.

Indexing a regular plug would be a heck of a lot cheaper and will give you the same gains as a splitfire plug. Most people have no idea what indexing is or even how to check plug gaps so in cases like this it is possible to se gains from such plugs..
They are all HYPE.
A fine wire plug properly indexed, and gapped is the way to go for best performance.
