Any idea where my thumb throttle has become very hard to push in the last months?? What could be the cause of that?

 

mabe you should try to lubricate the cable,i use chain and cable wax,it broke loose some tight cables on my waverunner.

Is it hard to push, or does your thumb just get tired really quick?? Sometimes if the throttle assembly rotates up or down on the handlebars, it makes using the throttle a real pain (literally). Unless you got a bunch of crud in around the cable (water=rust, or dirt or sand), there should be no reason for it to be stiff. Hope you figure it out.

 

Yes, thank you. I dismount everything, play with the cable on the throttle and carburator side and now it was pulling smoothly. I still don't know exactly what was the problem, but it is ok now.

Really you should throw that thumb throttle in the garbage and get a twist throttle. Once you get used to it, you will like better than the old thumb bs. Especially if you race, way easier to corner.
