I have not been there myself, but I have some friends that go up a couple of times a year. They say it is some great riding and must take trip. I wish I had some personal experince to pass on but after your trip you can let us know what you think.

I've been there twice. Once with the Suzuki King Quad and last May, with the AC 500i. I've seen lots of 300 cc. quads there and plenty of clubs on Polaris', Kows & Yamaha's. I've seen brand new Honda's on trailers, just to ride H/M Trails. You have to take the ride to Matewan and meet the mayor. She's just a wonderful person to meet and holds her own when it comes to city folk. I hate that trip! It's so ugly but man! After you've crossed all the terrain to get there and back, you know "You be the man"... I'll never do that trip with anything less than the AC 500i, again...

Thanks chuck!! It sounds like you had a great time. It seems like everyone I have talked to say it is the BOMB. With 220 miles of trails and color marked trails for difficulty you cant go wrong.

We just came back from Man West Virginia. We rode the rockhouse trail from Man to Gilbert. We had lunch at Gilbert at the Dairy Barn.It took us most of the day to ride there and back.Round trip for us was around 46 miles. It was and excellent ride we rode easy and a few of the difficult trails. We only rode one day the hurricane from the gulf came in and it rained all night and the next day when we left.We were going to go to bearwallow trailhead the next day but we were rained out.The people were real friendly .I would like to thank the mayor of Man WV and his wife for making us feel welcome. It is a different feeling getting to ride into town on your 4 wheeler without anybody saying a word.Sorry so long winded. Was it worth the trip definitely Would do it again. My 500 autocat performed flawlessly.

I ride the trail system exclusively. Air your tires up too about 5.5-60 pds at least and aviod the black trails is you don't wanna deal with some tough trails. Most of all....have fun.....and be careful!
