I have corresponded with Howie of "Dirty Howies" lockers, and he confirmed he can install a spool-type locker in a new AC front diff. You send him the entire diff, he splits the case, splits the guts, performs his mod, then re-welds the guts and re-installs it in the case for $300.00 Canadian. Not a bad price. I'm gonna go for it during the "off season"......sledding season.

Is this a selectable locker?? (Can you lock it and then unlock it??) If so is it a lever or a switch??

Not selectable locker.....it is a full time spool type front end.

That is not a good idea for trail riding. If you plan to use it for farm work it will probably be OK... But if you've ever tried steering out of a bad situation at ten mile per hour and wheels locked, you already know it's not easy to turn in any direction. The quad will literally bounce you off or crash. Either way, you get the thrill of a life time...

Guess I'll wait for Cat to put it one the 04's. The Warn does a heck of a job pulling.

For the few times I really need a locker it wouldn’t be in my best interest to install it. If a quad was strictly for mudding then that would be another story
