I bought a set of rims and tires off of ebay and didn't realize that they are larger than the stock until after I got them.

They are ITP Holeshot XCT 22x11x10 on Douglass 190 wheels 10x9 in rear & ITP Holeshot XC 22x7x10 on Douglass 190 wheels 10x6 in front.

What size front sprocket should I use?

Also, does anyone else have this size on their DS and if so how did the handling and speed change?

thanks in advance for your help!

I've got the 22" XCT rears and kept the stock gearing. The rear tires are supposedly a 10% gearing change, while the front sprocket is a 7% gearing change. So with the larger tires and smaller sprocket you're at abour 3% off from stock. I've never really seen any reason to change the gearing on my DS though, I use 22" dirt tires and 21" paddles without any power problems. I don't have any motor work, just a bolt on pipe.

15 front makes a nice change, but like blackhawk said it will be about like stock, but for trails i like a little higher gears. I run 17 front, with 20" rear tires. in the sand i run 15-43 and it works great for hill racing, on the flats the top is a little low but it takes a long time for a stock geared ds to catch up, and in a strong wind they never do.
