Looks like I'll be switching to a carb mounted filter, as no one has developed a better air box to carb tube that doesn't collapse. Personal preference is Uni over K&N. I did a search and came up with p/n UP6300AST. Does this fit our stock DS carb without shimming the seat or anything like that? Has anyone had a problem with a filter falling off while riding? TIA.

I've talked to guys with the uni the foam conforms to the seat. I bought one from gary at tvi, put it on , and wanted to make sure it was nice and tight, and one more twist and it popped off. repeated this several times, with the same result. decided to stick with the k&n in the box. did fire it up with the uni on the carb and it was getting a lot more air.

Any one know where I can get these online I was going to do this with a K&N as you might have read in another post but I hear Uni is just as good as K&N and half as much.

Does UNI have a website? I need a new filter, and want to look at my options.
