The last 2 times that I bought (very overpriced)oil filters from my dealer, I was given HONDA filters. I was told that they only stock THAT filter for both KAW, and Honda applications. WELL, that got the cogs turning in my head, about filter interchange. I printed out a article by a fellow that researched these interchanges for his various Honda road bikes. I found a Purolater filter that is about 1- 1/4" longer than stock, and am running it. I'll post the # tomorrow, I don't have it with me. I DO remember that it is the equivelent to a FRAM #6317. In the article, the Purolater filter got the highest ratings. These filters average $5, as opposed to $11 from dealers around here! Truth be known, these car filters are probably better thasn the OEM ones. In Bosch, I think the filter # was 3300.
I'll get the author's name, and the Purolater filter # that I installed. BTW--you'll have to add about 1/2 pint of oil with this larger filter.

For the last year I have been using Fram filters from Wal-Mart. Any filter that fits the Mazda Miata with the 1.8 engine will fit the 650. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
