Okay, and a "Scrabler" engine has never locked up....eh? It locked up for a reason, just like any other engine....no "rider beware" needed.
I saw a decompression mech. loosen up on a Moto. It wrecked havoc on the inside of the engine! Tore the crap out of it, tore teeth off of the cam gears, broke off a cam holder, just made a mess. And he ran the last two laps this way, pulled it in, and they had him back out for the next moto, all fixed up. Pretty cool. The engines are pretty bulletproof, so there's more to this than meets the eye.....

If it's one thing that I am really good at, it's how to spot a bogus post.
It's all a matter of how it's written and what details are given........especially details that have nothing to do with the topic in general.
This guy is a shimmy shammy.

hey scrabler,
I wills attempt to speak at youse in your own langage. i got's two cannondales that i beats preety well and me motors ain't had no probems. Me sold my '99 Scrabler ons the udder hand because it was a heavy handling likes a shopping cart filled with bowlin' ***** tird.
And I know they have'nt changed it much.
All other owners beware: Mr Scrabler is a prime example of not being able to keep up with the Dales, therfore HE eats WAY TOO MUCH DIRT.
Scrab, you hit a nerve.

Yep, we better beware! Infact, 250R owners beware, 400ex owners beware, Raptor, Z400, and pretty much if you own anything with a motor, BEWARE!!!!
02Scrambler - You might want to try to tell the whole story, because I know someone isn't just going to ride it a little, remap it and then the motor ends up lockin up. I think CaptCarl would even admit that this guy must be leavin out a lot of info.

I know the guy 2002scrambler is talking about. His motor really did lock up right after he got it remapped. But what I heard, and this is second hand information, is that he tried to modify some things in the engine on his own. That could explain why it locked up. I don't know if this is true but a guy that rides with him told me this.
