Both my front and rear shocks squeak so bad its really annoying. Is there any oil or grease that I can put on them to make them stop squeaking or is it going to stay like this.

I have the same problem, believe it or not, it is not the shock it is the rubber mounts, I have good luck with a small bit of oil but it is slightly messy and only lasts a few rides or so. I was told not to use WD-40 because it would harm the rubber, but if anybody could contradict that eveidence it would be much easier and cleaner with a good shot of WD-40

its true about the wd, it will rot many different rubbers. you could probably find some lube at an auto store or something that might work with rubber components.

All you have to do is loosen the nut on the upper mount a little. Since there are lock nuts on them, it won't hurt if they are a little looser. I have not lubed my mounts in the past year and have been squeak-free.

You might also try some spray teflon lube.

How bout chain lube? Wouldn't that work, since it's save for the rubber orings?

I had the same problem last year, I prayed my rubber shock mounts with a Graphite spray and have ridden all year so far without even a little squeek.

WLscrambler is right on the money, I have researched this topic a lot, and found that loosening the top shock mount bolt will cure your problem. I did mine, and I have never had a squeak. Try it. it will work.

Default Squeaky Shocks.....

I loosened mine up a 1/4 turn and that worked. I also shot them with some Chain Wax. Figured it couldnt hurt anything since its made for a rubber O-ring chain.
