Checked out new park in Gilbert MN.

10 of us made the trip from Twin Cities to the new OHV park in Gilbert, MN. They have a really nice setup there. Tons of challenging hills and mud holes. We rode all day and didn't see all of it. They are a little strict on the regs. My buddy couldn't get his 125 in with a FMF pipe because it registered 103 dB.

Guys,
Next time you make this trip from the Twin Cities, give me a heads up if you don't mind another guy along on a SP500. Would really like to ride that park as well and I'm in Columbia Heights. Thanks in advance,

I wish I could make it up there again this year but I broke the tranny and will be out awhile until I can get it fixed. If you go up, check out the Biwabik Lodge in Biwabik. Its off season right now and we found rooms for $47/night. The whole area was really nice to us and made us feel right at home.

Thats right, there is no charge, (as long as your Minnesota registration is up to date) They can register your machine right at the park if its not current.

When I was up there last year for the ATVAM convention, I found the DNR staff to be VERY cool!!! Eventhough my machine spiked out their sound meter. You can pick up a digital db meter from Radio Shack for around $40-50, measure 20" away and at a 45 degree angle. This is with your machine at 50% of max rpm. You can quiet a pipe down with the quieting kit from HPD, basically some 1" wide kevlar strips with worm clamps. This also works on the outside of the silencers also.
