Ok, when the time comes...(hopefully soon) I need to go ahead and adjust the valves on my '03 400 4x4...

Anyone have a shop manual that can tell me the specs for the valve clearance's...

and where can I buy a shop manual online at a decent price....

I don't trust any mechanics... I do all my own maintenance....

BTW... did a couple of steep, soft, damp dirt climbs with the Cat over the weekend.... 45-50 deg (or pretty close) It went up and down no problem...

I have the same bike, mine is a 03 400i ya I like mine to it has done it all. It has over 700 miles on it now.
If you find a good shop manual could you let me know where. I would like to have one also.
Oh ya I have to comment on the Arctic Cat sucz guy do you think he was just trying to get a response off people. Because I think he did that? I didn't fell I had to reply.

 

You can try here http://www.repairmanual.com for the shop manual. I don't think they have the 2003 manuals yet but you should be able to e-mail them.

The specs are on the front bumper support, left or shifter side. The best manual to get is the Factory service manual from AC. They are by year and will include every model for that year except the 90. I have an 02 Cat factory service manual, I got it from my dealer for around $50 I believe.
