Default FSW's questions

Hey, it looks like me and a couple buddies will be making the trek to FSW's.

I have not been to Glamis for quite some time and am trying to make some plans. When I went before I was at the buttercup part of the imperial dunes. So, I guess what I am asking is how do I get to the Glamis area and where will people be camping?

I am hoping that since a bunch of the guys I have met from the forums such as DSaholic, Demon, Wyoduner, and others are heading that way maybe we can camp in the same area. Most likely I will be pulling in very late Thursday night or early friday morning. So, if you have some maps of the area or can direct me to a good place to camp where other forum members will be that would be great.

I can't wait to make the trip and watch the fireworks.

Bat, good to hear your comming. It should be a blast. I know we really havent even started to get everything planned. I know as of now DSa, Major, and myself have it planned to go down, we are hoping to just pull the quads and not have to pull down the big ol camp trailer making it another 5 hours longer LOL. SO if anyone is willing to share a lil floor space for us, we would much appreciate it. If not I guess we will either pull down the trailer or bring a tent.

I wonder if King has ever made up his mind on what the first class is going to be? I hope he does soon, as people need time to start to prepare the quads. I know one thing it will be here before we know it and I hope I am not scrambling just to be ready. I wonder what the list of attendors looks like now?

Demon, We are going to be bringing my buddies camper as it is a little smaller and much lighter than mine. I can do 75-80 all day with his camper.

I dont know if we will have any space, it depends on how many people come along. I know that it will be the two of us plus at least one other and not sure, but think that a couple more will tag along.

My only real concern as of now is the weather, you never know what the roads will be like, but once into southern utah it is smooth sailing for sure.

Do you guys know when you are going to leave yet?

Bat

See THIS PAGE for more maps. The one at the bottom shows the whole area with highways.
I will be camped off of Gecko Road at Pad 2.5 just before the Gecko Loop road.

Thanks Bill, do you know about how many miles or how long it takes from blythe. I am trying to figure drive time for the trip. I know it took me about 11 1/2 hours from my house to Dumont dunes.

Thanks
Bat

Demon, if I bring my toy box I'll have room for all of you guys.

I'm just not sure at this point who is going and whether we will bring mine or Daves.

He has aa motorhome so it is much easier but he doesn't have much room.
