AC nerfs are forever!
#1
Hey,
I am tearing the quad down and have run into the same problem that I ran into last time; the damn AC nerfs WILL NOT come out of the front hole in the frame. I have pulled, twisted begged and cussed at them and still no luck. Has anyone else had this problem and got around it? I have already sprayed as much WD40 at the area as I would think is possible. I didn't use any type of anti-seize when I installed them, didn't know I had to. Any help is appreciated.........JIM

Do they move at all? I was scared about that...I greased the heck out of mine with waterproof grease...but I wonder is the pounding they take over time will bend them around the frame, causing your condition. I'd try a come along. I don't think heat is going to help you with aluminum.

Whoa Jim. That's an odd situation you have on your hands.
I haven't had to remove any so far, so I haven't ran into this yet.
If it spins but wont pull out, it seems the bar is tweaked somewhere. Does both sides act this way or just one side??

Well, an update...I got the damn nerfs off! I don't know if it was the fact that I left the garage door open and the cold air caused the metal to shrink or what, but they came off and almost easily. Just an update..........JIM
