AC nerfs are forever!
#11
hey, i'm in a different boat than alaska 400ex. lol i got my new pro peg nerfs in and no installation instructions!!!! does anyone have theres and will email me a copy of them? or fax them to me. i'm not sure on the rear pegs. do they bolt on with the peg higher and back from the original foot pegs or in the same place? also, my a/c nerfs have a braket sticking off of the front of the nerfs (where the engine bottom frame rail bolts together). any idea what this is surposed to bolt to? also, my a/c nerfs did not come with a plastic insert for the front of the frame. was it supposed too? and like alaska400ex, the front of my nerfs do not want to go into the holes in the frames. i'm sure the instructions would take care of the problems and questions. thanks

Yeah, directions would be great....unfortunately, they do not come with any. The black bracket mounts in the exact location as the footpegs. Then you need to remove one of the front frame rail bolts. The bracket welded on the front of the nerfs will line up with one of the holes, and you'll use the supplied longer bolt to put there. Mine didn't come with any plastic inserts either, I justed greased the crap out of them. The trick is to put the bar in the frame(just get it started), then bend the bar enough to slip over the black bracket. Then use a hammer and a block of wood to "guide" the nerfs into place. And bolt the front of the bars down. I also drilled holes through the nerf and the black bracket, and put a bolt through there. I didn't want them to work out over time. Hope this helps!

It's "disgouised" right now....too cold out to wash it. I'll have some this weekend. I gotta go to Philli tomorrow. It still has the red plastic too, Silver plastic hasn't come in yet, hopefully I'll have it Friday.
