I'm still looking to purchase my first ATV and have definitely decided on the Eiger 4x4 Auto. The Eiger is going for $5399 around here and no one will budge. Well I was at one of the dealerships today, and the salesman offered me a 02 Vinson for $5995. It's only $500 more than the Eiger, to me that is a good deal. He also offered a repoed 02 Eiger with 16 miles for $4500 what do you guys think?

 

Both sound good to me. The eiger is a fine bike but I like the 5sp version a little better in that it has a little more throttle response. I've read on here the Vinson seems to have a few more issues to work out. The new 5 sp vinson sounds like a nice machine though I can't seem to get used to the style of the Vinson, I think it's the headlights or something. I paid $4950.00 out the door with a nice helmet and no taxes. The eiger is the best quad for the $$ out there.

The Vinson, in my opinion, is a much better quad than the Eiger for many reasons. Two being comfort and power.

If you think the extra power might be needed with what you plan to do and can handle the extra bit of size that comes along with it......I would spend the extra $500 and get the Vinson.

If you decide to get the used Eiger, be sure to find out why it was brought back to the dealer. 16 miles on a used quad is very suspicious. Did something happen and the customer got pi$$ed about it?? Maybe not, but I would check into why the dealer has it back before considering it.....regardless of the price difference.

 

Well I didi it! I got the 02' Vinson today. I ended up getting it for $6500 otd. I also got him to throw in a set of racks. I rode a half mile sown the road and froze my *** off and put it away already. My first Quad , this ranks as one of the top 5 best days in my life!
