I just installed my new ESR temp guage (man what a sweet temp guage) and was wandering what temp does the DS's fan come on. Mine came on when the guage read a little over 200 degrees.

 

im not to familier with teh DS and its cooling system but the temp guage may not be an accurate way to determine when the fan should kick in, since teh ESR temp guage reads coolant temp, and whereas the ds fan could be controlled by oil temp

 

In this thread Cooling Fan Hightower talks about the temperature that the fan comes on and what temp the red light comes on.

 

where did you get the temp gauge?

 

I am tying to determine what degree the fan is coming on so I can see if the temp guage is accurate. I got the guage from Eddie Sanders Racing. http://www.paragondesigns.com/esr250...?ProductID=112.
