Default ESR temp guage.

The fan on off temp is stamped on the brass on the side of the switch (which reads water temp )
It is 95-90 ie switch closing at 95 and opening at 90.

i know this because i just found an alternitive source for my fan switch. the one i fitted is for a bmw car and the thread is m14, in case you need to know.

Just called ESR and placed my order for the gauge. It's always nice to know what things are doing down there...lol

Ive been running an esr temp guage for a few years, they are great. I also bought a toggle switch for my fan and run it constantly when shooting the hill. The toggle that fits can be found at the local Checker for $2.99.. I drilled a hole in my plastic and ran the toggle on the side of my front plastics about 7 inches from my thermostat wiring.

With the gauge being liquid filled, you can actually sneak a peak while riding. If you should run into parts breakage, replacement parts are available. Easy install, durable product.

Default ESR temp guage.

I posted those temps at the link above long ago before I realized that my DS Shop Manual is incorrect due to a conversion error from celsius to ferenheit. The older DS manual has many errors, some conversions from metric to inch are wrong, as well as some temps.

The fan actually comes on at 203 degrees, this value confirmed by a conversion program I have using the celsius from the Shop Manual, and also matches what my ESR gauge says. the red light on the dash comes on at 239 degrees.

the temps blue250r posted are accurate and are in celsius 95C = 203F
