What do you all think of the 2003 yellow trailblazer...........are they fast , how is mud protection,are they reliable..............good things bad things.............thinking of buying one

Dont listen to Zilla about the Trailblazer. Stock they are slow but with Few mods they can be quick. It is by no means a race bike But on the trails they kick a$$. I have some mods done to mine. I baught my 2000 used for 1800 and put less than 600 in mods and i can beat a 400 up to about 55mph but after that its all over. I do better than most other quads on the trails and i do mean MOST! It has plenty of clearance and travel unlike other quads and on those all day rides the automatic trans is great. I like the machine.TALON hawk has alot of mods done to his and i do know other people that have more mods than mine and they are really fast.But as far as being stock you will be dissapionted. If you can afford the extra money get the 400 Trailblazer. Or look for a used one,put some mods, and it will be cool.

 

By the way as far as mudding goes, i go mudding with mine and it does really well for a 2wheel dr bike. But you will get completely covered if you do mud with it!!After you mud wash it, grease it, check your airfilter and you will be ok.

2manytoys said it all except they are a blast in the snow! I can pull my 4 kids
around in pretty deep snow with no problem at all. Thats with all stock parts
including tires.
My other TB is heavily modified and cost a bundle. I'm hoping that before winter
gets here that I can hook-up with my brother ( has a modded 400 scram ) and
see how close I can hang with him. I think my 100 yard times are closing in
on his. HE HE

Would my modded Tb be to much for the snow. I have a 5 yr old and i dont want to be throwing snow at him pulling him. I was thinking on puting the stock primary spring in just for the winter so it wouldnt enguage to high. I have never driven mine in the winter. What should i be carefull of. All i hear is horror stories about 2strokes and winter.

they tune em soo they won't wheelie from the factory..


but on the must buy list is one of the stage one kits offer'd by the popular tuning companies. wich will run ya about 325 bucks.

and don't even bother buying the parts one at a time, it'll end up worse than stock...just save up and buy the whole kit.

I would not change your spring unless you notice excessive wheel spin in
the snow but that really should not be a problem. You will have to re-jet once
the outside air temp drops and stays below 40 degrees. I don't know if you
are still on stock tires or not but the stock tires are great in snow. I personally
have not had any problems with mine in the cold weather. About the coldest
that I've had mine running was 30 degrees.
