my neighbor has a 94 polaris utility qaud its a 400 2 stroke its 4wd what kind is it

 

Most likely a 400 2-stroke Xplorer. I am not sure if they called it the Xplorer back then though...I had a 300 2-stroke 1994...

 

It's a Sportsman 400 4X4, there was also a 2X4 model. I have a '93 Sportsman 350 4X4 with a V-plow I use for the snow. I bought it used a few months ago and learned from other owners that it's a tough and dependable ride. Your friends 400 uses the same 400 2 stroke they put in the sport & scrambler. They still make the sportsman 400 4X4 only they call it an explorer 400 4X4 now.

 

the Xplorer 400 is not just a sportsman 400 with a new name. the sportsman 400 uses the older polaris body plastic, with hood fender and such, and also uses a cheap chain drive 4x4 system, i know of one that my friend has, and he's had only bad luck with it, it turned out to be quite the lemon. Just thought ya wanted to know!
