Do a compression check if you don't have a compression gauge an auto parts store like Napa will. Screw the gauge into the spark plug hole turn the engine over and if it reads less than 65psi you need to do a re-build

Perfect compression will be 125-130 psi. Anything below 100 psi will start to run bad and below 80 psi it wont start at all. Did this just start when it got cold? If it did you need to rejet and adjust the airscrew. Use the choke till it idles by itself and let it warm up before you ride in the cold. Dont ride full throttle in the cold or you will burn up the piston. Will it turn over with the starter?

i just had this thing rebuilt this summer,it's got about20 hours on it since then.i adjusted the choke seems to be working alright.i'll try the compresion test .it better be alright or i'll have to kick some booty at the dealers.
