Test drove the Arctic Cat 250
#1
I went to a local dealer and test drove the 250 boy did I fall in love with Indepent Suspension and the features. The dealer told me to drop the trans. into low and boy did it act like it wanted to get with it pull the hell out of something. Not bad for a 250 when compared to other utility 250's it just kicks a** as far a work horse. I know you are probably wondering why I didn't test anything bigger well I'm looking for a new quad that will fit my price range plus it will be my first own ATV so I'm going to call a dealer in few days and order one with a winch

I purchased the 300 this Sept and so far I love it. I like you, were on a buget and I thought for the extra money I would go with the 300 instead of the 250. So far I love this machine. Good luck with your choice..

Sounds like you are going through exactly the same thing I did last spring. I did get the 250, and it has never let me down. For the money spent it is the best you can do as far a utility. I also mounted a winch up front just in case I needed it. I've got a nice comfortable ATV that is quite capable for medium work, has rack and tow capacity equal too or more than rigs twice it's size, and I spent way under $4k
It's not the fastest, but for utility it's tough to beat. Park it alongside a Recon, and you'll laugh at that Honda. Nothing wrong with the Recon, just the Cat is much more heavy duty, and full sized.

I had the same problem just last week with my 300. I ordered the CV boot protectors for the rear. The boots cost me $26.95 (US) each. The protectors cost $29.00. So I figured why keep replacing the boots I cost just the same to protect them.
