Its name is the Offset Ignition Key??? It's only 10$. I almost bought it just to see it? I picture some key with an angle on it?

 

I think they don't recomed this part for the DS, I believe they have had problems with them breaking

i wouldn't buy it, if its only 10 bucks it can't be that great, how many good quality high performance parts do u c for $10?

 

They sell it on the DS page. You would think they would just put it in the CDI box

Marky make sure you fill me in, I might just call RW and see what the part really does for only $10.

 

I spoke with Elliot about the ignition advance key several months ago and he does not reccomend the key for the DS, reason being is that he claims they shear and you'll damage the fly wheel. He says they work fine for the BMW F650 but the DS guys are getting so much more out of the rotax that the Torgue just shears em. There are other ways if you're creative to manually advance the ignition but how much gain is there - who knows for sure with out a dyno, seat of the pants I hear you can't tell the difference. I can't believe it 'll be even 1-2hp, who wants to risk a flywheel for that.

i was having trouble this spring with my stage III breaking cams,had a friend weld the sprocket to the cam collar solid! so that part of the key set-up is no problem, not sure about the flywheel inprovments needed?
