This sounds like it could be a good unit, and the attention given by MBRP is excellent. Obviously if you have questions about how or what the finished product will be, MBRP will answer them, and fast!

The stock headpipes don't even come polished from the factory. If you want them to shine, you've got plenty of work to do, especially if you've had the bike for awhile.(Believe me it isn't easy, I tried)

Marky,
This is what I asked MBRP & their reply, any thoughts?

3. How well does polished stainless keep it's luster when used as a head pipe? I've heard a lot of stories of guys with all different head pipes that looked great at first then after a single ride or two it started to look like trash. (Flaking, mis-coloration, rust etc..)
On mine the change in color goes from a bright polished look we all know to a goldish tint color that looks great to me and many others that comment on them. With Stainless there is no flaking or rust. Bluing can take place close to the head and proper jetting and tuning will minumize or eliminate that condition. The thinner metals will show temp more than the thicker stock pipes. The bright new look condition is easy to maintain with something like Mothers.
