Well I just got off the phone with Dustin at South Bay. The list of mods for the engines Stage 1-3, are on the web page under products/Cannondale. The dependability enhancements include oil ports to the head to bring oil to the exhaust lobes. Then the plate which holds the crank in place is reinforced, it is appearently a high stress area. Also a shiming of the shifter, the gear case is "bullett proof" according to Dustin.
Performance wise Stage 1 gets the additional head ported/flowed. 6hp gain

Stage 2-3 have the head mods/porting. But the injectors are cut away from the head, it has some redesign done, so the injectors spray directly onto the back of the intake valves. again another 6hp gain.

Stage 3 is the 450 kit the motor is stroked to a 450, like Smitty has said in the past so did dustin there is not much room to bore this thing. The valves are also replaced with titanium valves. yet another 6hp gain.

Each motor get a mapping for it design, and yes he has quad maps. Soon he said they will have pipes for the cannondale with carbon fiber silencer.
Also all motors get adjusted cam timing which is to being that top end power down into a more useable powerband. It will rev like a normal cannondale, it just gives you moreover all power.

The 60 hp estimate was not true, Dustin said honestly/modestly the motors will put out an easy 50hp. These motors put out broader more useable power.

Im not trying to sound like a sales man but im trying to put down everything I got out of my conversation with him. He said there were alot of emails comming in so it would be a while before he got them done. Over all he was very helplful.

How much does each stage cost?

So stage 1 Adds 6hp,stage 2 adds 12hp and a stage 3 adds 18hp?

A stock moto is around 40hp + a stage 3 would be 58hp.

The horse power thing was the only one I didnt quite get. The whole hp thing he was on about, it did seem each stage added a few ponies. Weather this was based off the speed at 30 or so hp, or the moto at 40 ish ponies. With the right mapping on this setup i cannot see why it wouldnt reach 60 hp.
A trinity with port, map & pipe hits the mid 40's. I can see myself getting Southbay's stage 3 kit.
