Default Foreman S

I asked my dad if we could get a quad. And we started looking. First at the Sportsman 500. Now we are set on the 2003 yellow Honda Forman S. So we were looking at prices. And found one for $5,450. About the best we can find. Just waiting till the start of next year when a buddy is going with us to get a perditor and we will get em both cheaper. Now I want to ask. I am 14 year old kid loves to ride. Right now I got a Honda Big red. What do I need to know about the Foreman? Any thing that should be done when it is new? I would like to get tires. Maybe some nice crome rims. Did we make a good pick? Any info would be great. Thanks.

The 450 is a nice, solid bike. That is a good price for this time of the year where I live, but around June is when the bonus bucks come in, and also they want to get the last year models out so in Julyand August they will have room for new models. My friend bought an 02 450s for 5,400 with the extended warranty. I got my Rubi a year earlier in June and payed 6,300 with a four year warranty. I cant say things work this way in your area but I hope this helps.

You will be happy with your choice, I have a '98 and havent had a hitch with it. Be sure to get a winch though, that way if you get stuck you have a way to get it out. (I'd recommend the Warn 2500 model-better value than the 2000) I have since installed a set of bumpers to save the plastic, steel A-Arm skid plates, and a set of 27" Blackwater Tires. The stock tires are Ok at first, but replacing them later with larger is better, and you don't need to change anything else for these tires to fit (Not even the rims).

Happy Riding

I have a yellow 99 Foreman 450 S, and I love it. I wouldn't even trade it for a new one, because I know how to handle a 4 wd like a 2 wd, and I can take my 4 wd into turns that would scare a 2 wd, and I drive it pretty hard. As for tires, the Honda will handle up a a 27" tire stock, and that is with only a little bit of power loss. It has enough to where it doesnt matter. I am putting 27" Super Swamper Vampiers onto mine soon, and a 2500 lb winch. I would reccomend atleast a winch, and when you have to get new tires, go with a 26" or 27", as they will make it more stable (sounds odd huh?).

I dunno about stable, but mine rides better and handles better with the 27" tires.
