Sand Tires For The Predator
#1
Just a quck question for the forum on which is the best or close to best sand tire for my predator. I mostly will be running in an area that is mostly high sand dunes and big sand bowls not hardly any tight turning . I ran skat track on my 200X, they seem to work good. Also is the bolt pattern 4X156 the correct size. Looks like chaperral has some good prices. I wish the oil filters would get in so I could do some riding.

I'm running Sand Skate II's on my Predator because I didn't think the Maxxis ones were agressive enough. The ATVNews.com comparison of sand tires put them second fastest only behind the ITP straight-blade tires (and faster than the Haulers).
$244 plus S&H from rockymountainatv.com, and yes the bolt pattern is 4/156.

Does anyone know if the Predator lug nut pattern is the same as any of the other quads or even other Polaris wheels? Interchangeability?? It seems large (good for strength) my 400ex is 4/110 (I think) so the predator is much larger. If it is a completely new hole pattern are wheels available from anyone other than the Polaris dealer?

They're a common size... Rocky Mountain ATV already stocks the wheels. I'm not sure what else they fit, but I think they share the wheel pattern with the Scrambler.
The unusual thing about the Predator is that the 4/156 applies to both the front and rear, so if you wanted to look really stupid, you could put paddles up front and slicks in back.

I havent checked them yet, but my dealer told me that it is the same as Honda. If this correct, then I will try Skate II's this weekend off my 400EX. Right now I am running 8 Paddle haulers for the Oregon Dunes.

They aren't the same as the Honda rear... that's 4/110 I think somebody just posted.
BTW, anybody want a set of front Dunetrackers (just the tires)? I'm selling mine for a set of sharkfins...

4/156 bolt pattern is common with the Front bolt pattern of a Scrambler/Trailblazer, and also Yamaha Raptor, Banshees and Blasters (((FRONT ONLY)))
Yamaha uses a 4/110 on the rear and Scrambler uses a 4 on 4bolt pattern on the rear.
89-90 banshee lists 4/156 all the way around
