4-Wheel ATV action says in there Feb issue, there will be a shootout of the three quads. How do you think the out come will be? We all know they like the Z over the Raptor, so will the Predator com in first or third?

 

First or Third, I like that. My guess is that they will put the Predator down, because they don't usually like anything Polaris.

 

Mark this on the wall. The underpowered Z400 will kill the Raptor and the Predator in the mag shootout. Even if the Predator is a fine machine, it's a Polaris and will get 0 respect. JMO.

 

After riding the Predator the other day I think they will pick the Predator. But then again the average joe rider prefers a yellow quad so you never know.

The Raptor is to tippy so it stinks,the predator is a polaris and does not have reverse( I think?),so it stinks.The only one left is the Z. This is my honest opinion on the outcome,despite the fact that they are all fine quads.

Maybe,just maybe, the polaris will pull an upset in this one??????????????? There did not seem to as much of a hype about the polaris as there was and still is about the Z. Maybe advertising dollars would help the outcome. Regardless,I'm and atv magazine addict and an atv riding addict.

 

To be made the under-dog and have to earn the respect isn't a bad deal....the rest of us Polaris "modders" have been in this boat before......kinda fun when the question of the day is "what is that?"....usually after you beat them. hehe. Let Dirty Wheels and the others rip on it, considering they think changing of the primary spring was "changing the rev limiter" on the recent HPD article. Great exposure for Darrell and Mike (and Sue too), but the knowledge level of the "expert reviewer" leaves quite a bit to be desired.
When you see it with your own eyes, either in person, or an honest photo....believe it. When it's someone elses self-influenced hype (that's read, buy me more Saki Dirty Wheels)take it all with a grain of salt.

The magazine riders already have their minds made up too who is going to win. They wont give the Predator a chance. In the Jan. issue of Dirty Wheels they claimed that a KFX 400 will top out at over 70mph. They even mentioned earlier in one of the magazines that a Z400 will top out at 66mph. Their info on the KFX going over 70 mph is BS!!! I was really upset that they mentioned that the goodyear rawhide tires on the SP600 as not being very good all-around tires. Sorry that this is off the subject.

 

With all of the advertising Polaris has been doing in the mags, I'm sure they will walk away with the win.

 

The Predator suspension is light years ahead of the Z, and not just the shocks but the whole package. I own a Pred and I have ridden a Z and you can see which one I bought. Not being a pro level rider and being able to tell the difference says alot. I believe the Predator will win but will be picked apart on minor details so the win won't be as convincing. If the Z wins I won't buy the mag any more, if the Raptor wins I will cancel all my suscriptions! LOL!
I also believe that top speed matters less in a shoot out than the time required to get there and the Pred will SMOKE the Z in this aspect.

 

all i'm saying is i think it's great when the mags do a shoot out and it doesn't include a red machine. even though i'm sure they will make some mention of how none of the quads match up to the 250r or handle like a 400ex.
