Yeah only one wheel at a time really does any work on the front end. A detroit gearless locker from highlifter.com sounds like the best bet though. Supposedly it puts power to both front wheels all the time but allows one to turn faster than the other when turning. Check out their website.

It is pretty strong in terms of not breaking.
However, it doesn't lock both front wheels together. What it does, is holds them with a certain amount of force, that in some instances can be overcome. The more torque run through it, the tighter it is supposed to hold, and in some cases, if one front wheel is spinning without the other, you can pull on the front brake, and both front wheels will turn together.

If I put a locker on a foreman with trax-lock would I have to put on another awitch or would the locker kick in with the 4x4 switch thats already on it?

The locker should work fine with the trax-lok. You will have four wheel engine braking when you let off the gas, when in 4-wheel drive, and when you hit the brake all four will get stopping power. Sometimes you will have a fourwheel drive and sometimes three without the locker, each time it's like the luck of the draw.

Has anyone ever been in a real situation where they were actually stuck and would have gotten out with a locker. I doubt it.

Yes, if your into seroius mudding you'll notice the difference. A freind of mine got crossed up in a ditch on a Kawi 650. I drove it out for him. She was spinning wildly until I pulled the lever and she came right out.

Honda's limited slip fron end is OK when new, but doesnt compare to a Locker from HL.

In 4wd any braking causes braking on all 4 wheels, in 2wd braking occours on Front or back.
