I just bought a Predator and have broken it in. Took it out to line it up with cuople of friends and noticed that it seemed to have a rev-limiter on it. Once engines revs to high it falls on its face until you shift it, but this limit is reached rather quickly. A friend of mine rides a DS and he had a CDI box on it looked around but haven't been able to locate a CDI box on predator. Anybody noticed same problem and what is the fix? (change CDI box if bike has one).

 

Some of these issues might take some time, seeing as how not even the dealers (most of 'em) don't even have the service manuals yet. Get one on order now!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Take side cover off on the battery side and u will find it.

I know the raptor turns 9000 rpm , How many rpms do the predator turn???

 

If the Predator rev another 1100- 1200 rpm it would be nice, but you wouldn't be making any more power.

 

i rode a dealer troy lee and it does a rev limiter reminds me of th ds when i first got it. hope they get you a after market box soon
