It's been about three weeks now and I've riidden desert trails, sand dunes, and motocross track and I'm VERY impressed with the handling of the predaator. It's turn in is very crisp due to the steering and the suspensions ability to translate some of the cornering weight to the frame instead of to the suspension. The weight on the pred feels very low because of it's wide stance and flat cornering. I couldn't get the inside wheels to lift off unless I leaned to the outside a little. The quad really wants to stay on all fours. It would drift confidently through the turns until you hit the gas. When you hit that gas you better be ready to correct with some counter steer, or you'll be sideways before you know it. I'd expect the same from any high powered quad. You just have to be expecting or you'll get surprised.
All in all, I'd say this is the best handling stock quad you can buy with the exception of the C'dale Moto. After spending time on both I feel the pred is 9/10s the bike the Moto is at <half the price. That is just my personal opinion.

I really do like the suspension on the pred too and I think it allows for the awesome handling. I just bought the walker evans fronts but I'm not sure the pred needed em. I think the Fox shocks feel like dual rates and the adjustability is there. I'll find out this weekend if the walkers improve the bike at all.

Now this is what we need, a guy who isn't a Polaris fanatic giving us the low down truth on the new Predator. I really don't want someone comparing the new Predator to their Scrambler/Sport/Trailblazer. Ah, an honest opinion from someone who knows! Thanks thumper400ex!

I think the Predator's handling is outstanding. I'm eagerly awaiting my FOX reservoirs for the front shocks though, as I'd love to soften 'em up just a little. I would have gotten the Walker Evans ones if they were fully compression and rebound adjustable.

I need to dial in a little more rebound in the rear and then I'll be very happy... it's a tad tailhappy right now and has some nice lift-throttle oversteer... but a little more than I like. 'Course this is all on the sand, running V-blade paddles in back and Dunetrackers (slick with a center ridge) tires in the front.

Hi I'm kinda new here and I'd like to just say.......THAT I HATE YOU GUYS!!!!!......I went to the photo gallery downloaded an printed your pictures and threw darts at them!

I have been waiting 4 freegin ever for my predator to come in. Dam,Dam,Dam ,Rats, Rats, Rats

Seriously though thanks for the reviews, It puts my mind at ease in a way as I was/am? apprehensive about buying: a) another polaris b) A first year run c) another polaris

I will be riding in the Dunes mostly and was curious what mods would be best right off? Pipe? Gearing?

I don't know how much longer I'll have to wait .....but at least the dealers giving me a good deal.
Is 4600.00 out the door a good deal?

I liked hearing how easy the Predator pulls the front end up I love riding wheelies!

I wonder how much they'r gonna hit me for paddles

Is there any consensus on whether the extended warranty is a wise choice?

Anyway keep the reviews coming ........ Tres
