Default Performance Add-Ons for Magnum's?

Is there anything I can do to my magnum to boost performance? Some people like my uncle believe that i should just get a new fourwheeler if I want something faster, but maybe there is a better way. Have any of you guys done anything to your magnums?

There's a BUNCH you can do.
I recommend starting by removing the snorkle the goes from the airbox up over the tank. If you don't cross deep water, you'll like this mod. You will gain a lot of grunt and lose the raspiness.
wwwRitterCycle.com Rick has the best list of mods for this quad. I did stage 1. Replace the muffler and drill a couple holes in the lid, then rejet. All very simple to do and nets a good chunk of power. You also can change the primary clutch spring.
K&N filter. $20, good mod.
Rick also offers a 414CC kit for about $400. That's a big time gain and I'm about to do it. 25% more displacement.
After that there is also a ported head and larger cam.
The 2003's come with a 34mm carb instead of the 31mm. They got 10% more power from mainly this mod and I'm looking in to getting one on my quad.

TRADE UP ! The 325 is not a fast quad no matter what you do to them.If cash is a probblem find you a 2001 400 Explorer and put a pipe on it then you will have a 4x4 that will fly and still have less than $4000 in a good bike.

if your looking for speed you bought the wrong ATV to start with......i suggest either trade it in on a sport one or just keep it.....just my idea though.......

On my magnum the only things that i have did are putting on a K&N filter, taking out the snorkle and putting in a new clutch spring. I was in search for more speed also but i dont think you can get to much out of it so i am waiting on getting a new raptor. But just with these few cheap mods they gave it more bottom end grunt and power but not to much top end. But i have heard that full clutch kits for around $130 really help the bottom end out, but i have been looking for an exhaust system but cant find to many companys offering them for the magnum.
