Default '88 250R Resto

My latest project, is an '88 250R that I bought after a divorce settlement. The guy who originally bought the "R" flipped and crashed shortly after he purchased it new in 1988. He bent the steering stem and handlebars, and never rode it again. He left his wife a year or two later, and she stored the quad at her Dad's for over 10 years, in a garage with (2) Rottweilers. Well, they urinated on it and chewed the corners of the plastic fenders, but all in all the bike came thru that experience intact. I bought it for a $1000 in 2000, and restored it this past year. It is really a low hour machine, I estimate no more than (10) hours total. This is my ninth 250R, and most of the others were restorations also. I think it turned out pretty good for what I have in it, around $3500. It still looks this good. I can't bring myself to ride it anywhere except down the street and back. I will break it in later at Loretta Lynn's GNCC.

Please take a look and let me know what ya'll think. You have to search and go to hondatrx250r forum then to "Quad of the Month" and then to November 2002 "Quad of the Month" . Hope you can find it
