Default Carb Change

I about to pull the triger on a new carb. The TM 45 is what I'm going to go for. Some one said there isn't any differance between a HSR42 and a TM45 don't the 42 stand for 42mm. Were is the best places to look for a TM45 price wise or all they the same. I'l be going for the whole package Carb, Manifold, accelerator, and twist cable. Point the right direction and I'll do the leg work Thanks

There is no differance between the HSR and the TM series. You are correct though, the 42, 45, or 48 acounts for the size of the carb. A TM45 is the same as an HSR 45, but the HSR 42 is smaller.
If my statement in the other thread was confusing, sorry, I hope this sorts it out.

you can get them at http://www.rotax.net/DS650.htm Just make sure you get the CDI box when you change the carb you will be hitting the rev-limiter. I did when I added my Edelbrock QwikSilver.

The Edelbrock has one but there was not enough demand for them to go into production. the Mikuni RS Smoothbore Carburetors has the accelerator pump and is what PAMI is using for dual carb set up I think. The Mikuni TM Flatslide Carburetors has modles with it. The Keihin FCR has one too.

if word of mouth is the best advertising, rwr could some pointers to make it work for them. i sure don't have to much good to say about how they took care of my problems (stage 1 kit-stage III kit) when you call out there it's like talking to a wall? how people stay in business this way is beyond me

Is the TM45 the same carb they run on harleys. Some one told me this is true and on a standard harley TM45 carb the accelerator is standard. If this is all true why do they not come as a complete set up for the DS.

i have ask and i've been told that with the pump and not set up right it will flood on the top end instead of the bottom so for a easy setup they took it off, that way the average person could just bolt on and not have to be acarb expert. woods has always treated me good and there parts work well.
