Just purchased LRD pipe and jets. Any suggestions?

I just bought a set of used LRD pipes out of the For Sale section and I also called and ordered the LRD jet kit to go along with it.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for me?
Also, what seals the section of the pipe that is adjustable? Hi-temp silicon, RTV or ?
Thanks,
Bash

for example, where have you found the adjustable pipe best placed at?
Can you really tell a difference as to the setting of the pipe?
How do you seal the area that slides or is there not a chance of the exhaust leaking there?
Did you get the jet kit from LRD and if so was it basically a drop in procedure without a lot of trial and error?
Thanks,
Scott

I always start my adjusting where they say, ride it, and go from there. I had their pipe on my 250R before I put them on my Banshee, and it was the same way. Put them both at 7/16", ride it, Hard! for about 10 minutes. Try and notice if you need more bottom or top end out of your Quad. Lengthen the pipes for more bottom, shorten for more top end. If you put Permatex red silicone sealer in your pipes, about an inch from the inside edge, and about an inch wide, and a 1/4" thick, you'll be mostly leak free. My pipes came with jets, and they were perfect right out of the bag. If you're in need of help, call Jason at LRD, and he should be able to help you out with jetting. You can definitely tell a difference in the adjustment of the pipes, run them all the way, and you'll notice right away how much bottom end your bike is missing, and vice versa. Any more questions? Write me back.
