Xplorer Power?????
#1
I have been checkin around because I am interested in getting another quad. I have been looking at the Kawasaki Lakota, and the Xplorer 250 4x4, I think the Lakota is too small for me so I'm probably gonna end up either getting the Xplorer or a Trail Blazer. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me, does the 250cc engine in the Xplorer have enough power. Also, does anyone have any pictures of it, I have only found the one on the Polaris web site. Thanks.

The Xplorer has plenty of power. It's no Xplorer 400, but it goes quite well. It tops out at about 47 mph, pretty quick off the line and is nimble to ride. At 534 lbs. it's a lightweight(for Polaris). Dealer here sells them for 3995.It's the best 4x4 deal out there. The msrp of the Lakota is 4400. Sorry I didn't get back to you on the Kawi side. I'll try to get some Pics up.

mine is great, i ride with a 425 Magnum and it keeps up ok most of the time. but i ride double allot and it seems to go better with two than one.
It gets the same gas mileage as a 2 wheel drive 300 Prairie. I usually use possibly maybe a quarter gallon more on a 4 hour ride. i get 45 MPH out of mine with two people on. it is a really nice quad for the money.

Only my opinion, but I owned both Xplorers (300 and 400) and there is a big difference. I never realized it untill I bought the 400. It may be worth the bigger price tag. With the 400 you would never want anything more... If budget is a big issue you won't go wrong with the 250 from Piolaris either.
