I am in the market to by a TM45 for my Ds. I found one somewhere other than RWR. It is a TM45-2 Standard Mikuni HSR45 Carburetor. Is this the same carb that RWR sells? If it is, what are the differences between this one and RWR with the accelorator pump and alcohol kit? Can I purchase this carb and install a pump and convert to alcohol with RWR products? What are the benifits of using this carb with a pump Vs. without? I am having a motor built this winter by Olham Racing in KY, and want to run the bike on alky. And need to get up to speed with the mechanics of using alcohol. I understand the benifits of alky, and the fuel consumption, even the purging process. But I need to know the best set-up with the jet kit (some of you are altering RWR specifications) and the reason&application of the accelerator pump. I know Woods has some nice products, but if I can get the carb cheaper......you get the idea. Thanx

 

They are the same carb or you can try the Lectron Pro Carbs but if you want all performance you should look in to a dual carb set up
