i was wondering which quad people like better and why they like it better.

 

Both quads are very good I would preffer the 250R because of personal prefrence, but the Lt is an excellent quad and u can get up to a 1992 while the R stops in 89
the LT is faster then the R mostly because the LT has a powervalve

 

I have a 86 trx250r. with some mods nothing major like a big bore kit or anything. any way 2 weekends ago I raced a LT250r (don't know the year) anyway6 I smoked him and he had an aftermarket pipe and i had the stocker. I have never rode a lt250r. But my dad had a LT500r lt250r conversion where they take a LT500R motor and put it into a LT250r chassis it had the qaudzilla swingarm though. any way that was extremely fast the motor was a lrd raing motor. it was faster than his 87 he has now. any way I like my 250r better than anypother atv ever made (except that new cannondale maybe. remeber ride red ride smart and most importantly ride hard!!!!!!!!

 

I think the Honda is an overall better quad. I have heard people say the LT250R makes a better TT or flat track racer because of the suspension geometry. I would like to have a cherry 92 quadracer, just for fun. I can tell you that I rode a bone stock mint condition 92 'racer and drag raced my cousin on his bone stock mint condition 86 TRX250R. I won every time. They are very close in speed though.

 

I have both machines the LT is an 89 and the R is an 87. Both quad are full blown laegers;frames,a-arms and swing arms. Fully modified, they are both equal machines, it comes down to the rider. Either quad will do, the only advantage the R has is that one can get more aftermarket parts for it.
Drag racing doesn't really support which is faster, you have to take into account the size of back tires to. Ride both machines if they are similar in mods on a track then decide for yourself.

 

I like the TRX 250R, just personal preference but Iv'e heard that the LT has a weaker fireing system so it fouls plugs more but they are about the same speed. Really it just comes down to which brand you like better
