bent rims + a-arm
#1
The other day I let my friend ride my trailblazer for a few minutes and when he was done my rim was bent like hell and the rod inside my a-arm was bent. Does anyone else have problems like this .Is there any other strong but inexpensive rims?

I bought my rims by ITP from Dycorp, paid $39 each, that was the best price I found. I bent both of my A arms and spent 135 bucks on each. After, I took the new ones off, made a plywood form from the new ones, and then got the vise and torch to straiten the bent ones best I could. Then welded a plate across the whole A. I'll use the old ones should the new ones get whacked. The arms are quite poorly built for an occasional whack, don't even have a center support!

The A-arms are, believe it or not, supposed to be flimsy. Sure they can get expensive, but how much do you think a new frame would be? The a-arms are designed to take the brunt of any impact and not deliver it to the frame.
