How reliable are Arctic Cat ATV's? I'm a Honda guy, but are looking at arctic cat's because of their stats. My main concerns in an ATV is reliability, and to get my dollar worth out of the machine. I would also be getting it second hand.

 

My opinion is that they are very reliable! Ours have taken a beating and keep on ticking. Well, until they colided with some novice riders on them. Riders are ok and the machines are reparable, though so all will be ok in the end.

 

mine has been very reliable. only change so far was the battery. after the 4th year.
my 98 has had a tough life and is still going strong.

 

Mines a 98 500 4x4 and has 2000 miles, i beat the guts out of it. Only thing to fail really so far is a wiring harness problem and the final driven bearing. Seal went and it got full of water. 35 dollar repair.

And the answer I will give you is the same. Quads do not come much more reliable than an AC!!

I have had no major problems with my 2000 500. It is a beast in the woods and yet it purrrrrs like a kitten.

I will buy another AC!!

 

I've only had my 250 for 10 months, but so far no problems. They are doing something right. They now sell more ATV's than Suzuki, and as many as Kawasaki. It's a very good Utility ATV with emphasis on utility.
