Default 2 cycle oil shelf life?

What is the shelf life for 2 cycle injector oil. I was doig some cleaning. (Yes I said cleaning. It is what I do around here when it is too cold to ride or work on bikes or cars.. ) Well, what I found was 2 quarts of Yamalube 2 cycle injector oil. It is about 8 to 10 years old. One is still sealed one is open. Should I still use it or toss it?

Thanks That was what I had thought about doing but I was not sure if it was a good idea to use oil that old. Even it was sealed or not.

I agree, use the unopened one, and pitch the other one.

Don't pitch it!!!!!!!!

Save the unopened and set it on your shelf as an era gone bye.

Look at my photo page and the picture with the hotwheel wallpaper up in the corner you can see old cans of unopened oil.

I have an old can of STP oil treatment from the early seventies I wouldn't pitch for nothing.

I agree with what you said about

They were from the past when I were into bikes and quads alot, then I got more into cars after that and just last year got back into quads and bikes once again. I guess you can say that I am living my second childhood, or finishing up the last childhood where I left off . I got out of them when I settled down and had kids. I did'nt realize how much I missed it untill I got back into it. The best thing about it all is: I still feel as young as I did way back then.
I also have some old cans of oil like the onces you got somewhere aronud here. I am also a collector of many things and have been for quit some time. Just trying to hold on to the past , and remember it for as long as possible. I totaly understand. One of the things that I collect the most, (which has nothing to do with motorbikes at all) is Dukes Of Hazzard items.

I am not sure of how old this 2 cycle oil is I just guessed at around 8 to 10 years old. It may not be that old. I do know that they don't make them like that anymore. If you are interested it it I may pass it your way to add to your collection.
I know I did have a couple of empty round quarts of Yamaha brand 2 cycle oil. Not sure if they have been tossed out or not.
