Default Raptor Timing Chain

Why are they failing on modded engines? Who makes an aftermarket chain?

mine failed due to the engine vibration issue it had when screws sheared off the stator inside the motor and got caught in the chain

I don't know either. I do know that mine is stretched bad. Barlett looked into a stronger one, I think, when his let loose, he might have some good info.

Nobody knows? I don't want to mod my valve train unless I can get a better chain.

It is a issue but not a major one. I had mine for 2 years with no real problems. I am dropping in a new one on the 2001 when it goes back together next week

Airraptor is 100 percent correct. Replace the cam gear. Less than a 100 dollars

Is this an issue concerning the shear reciprocating weight involved or maybe guys improperly installing the automatic tensioner all the way out?
