Default GIVE ME THE GOODS ON THE VINSON!

HI GUY'S:
I have a friend who is getting a new quad. He is spending X amount of dollars and the Vinson is one of the machines that he is interested in...along with the Eiger. The Vinson is what I'm steering him towards...but my first hand knowledge of this bike is limited. I want to know what problems if any there are associated with the Vinson. How does it stack up against the other quads in it's category. He is not buying it to be a farm tractor...just some rec riding and a plow in winter. Thanks to all who respond.

I love my Vinson and it has had very good reviews in all the magazines for the 500cc class. If he wants a bigger machine, I would go with the kawasaki praire 660. If your friend is going to use it for plowing snow, I think you have to utilize the winch option, and not the manual lift because of the pointing protrudeing front plastic. The vinson is a very sporty looking and feeling 4x4. I would go with the manual transmission and not the automatic.

Kawirob The Vinson is a great machine, but is a little more on the 'Sport' side. If he is planning on plowing snow, remember this machine does not have a locking front axle like a 650 Prairie or 660 Griz.
