I just ran across this stuff for Polaris ATV's by FTR Performance for the 1st time. I checked out their page. This stuff looks great. But looks can be decieving. I don't remember ever seeing anything in here on this. Is it new or just no one uses it.

Also, out of all the makers of performance parts, who really makes the best stuff for the Trailblazer? TRUTH!!

FTR is new, they only been around for a few months. My opinion on the best for the Trail Blazer is RCR. But that, like I said , is my opinion. There are many companies out there that make good stuff. I guess one of the reasons I like RCR is how much you get for your money. You get a pipe, silencer, jetting, air filter, and clutchiing for the price of other some companies pipe and silencer alone.

I've seen the pipe that they show in their ads. It looks like it would be a lot of fun trying to add a steering dampener after you put that pipe on. I imagine just installing the pipe would be a major exercise in contortion. I could, however, be wrong.

I must agree with both so far. $249 for the base pipe alone. $325 for all, RCR don't sound so bad. It's always nice to get a "kit" too. At least you know it will all work together. Proven is a nice after thought as well.

MIKE,

I've seen pictures too. The FTR pipe looks to be a monster up front! I wonder about the performace gains. I haven't seen any dynos on it yet. But, come to think of it, I haven't seen any on the RCR kit either. Anyone know where I can find any dynos? I've only seen one so far. It was on HPD.

Rick has a dyno, if you ask he might fax it to you. His claims are true to the dyno.

HPD has one in their catalog. FTR supposedly has a dyno out, but when talking to them all they could say was how much better their pipe ran than the FMF. Well the FMF does'nt compare to Ritter's or HPD's. FTR is also in Utah at 10,000'+ elevation so results are a bit misleading. I asked if the compared theirs to RCR's or HPD and they said no. They never even heard of RCR.

I believe HPD will have a new pipe out in a few months similar to the FTR. This will be a race mod pipe only, capable of making 75HP at 7600RPM's. This pipe will really push the limits of the 400L motor!

Different pipes do different things at different elevations, just thought I'd add that. It never seems to get mentioned.(all mods for that matter)
