NEED HELP ON CARB
#1
HEY GUYS , I HAVE A 2001 DS AND IT WANTS TO DIE WHEN GOING DOWN A STEEP HILL. UNLESS YOU GIVE IT SOME THROTTLE TO KEEP IT RUNNING. THIS WILL BE VERY ANOYING ON THE DUNES. AS FAR AS I KNOW THE CARB IS STILL STOCK. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED

If it sort of stumbles and starts to die you may have a float level that is too high. You can get a Mikuni tuning manual, very useful, from places that sell Mikuni carbs like RWR. I think thay are about 4 bucks.

I have an '03 that has the same problem on a long hill. You may want to richen your fuel mixture screw a quarter turn out and see if that eliminates your problem. I ran into a rep on a poker run and he explained that stock mixture is lean. Hope this helps.
