I got my Z on June 26th, it is going in to have the new axle put in tomorrow (Feb.3), I am hoping it will be the last axle that will have to be replaced. Oh yeah, it is 1 month past the warranty period and Suzuki is still taking care of it.

Luecker,

that Steve is a good guy isn't he? I want to get a new machine this spring, but there have been some issues that are bothering me about the Z such as the axles (problem fixed now) and the broken frames I've been hearing about. How has your machine been holding up? I saw a post last night about the rear shock mount as well. Granted, some of these guys are beating the crap outta their machines to the point that any machine would break, but it seems to be a re-occurring problem.

Steve has been great, I have about 33 hours on it, and the axle is the first and only problem so far. I had the front fenders off and inspected the frame around the shock mounts and I don't have any signs of damage.

Steve also said that his rep is telling him that Suzuki is working on a 700 V-Twin utility, he wasn't sure if it is going to have IRS or not, he is hoping not.
