Western PA Blaster Jetting ?

I have a 03 balster with PC pipe/silencer & uni filter with stock air box & snorkle, was worndering what jet size & clip position other people in NW Pennsylvania with a similar set-up are using. i currently run a 250 main with clip in 3rd pos from the top. the 260 main was too rich even in 30 degree weather the 250 main seems on the edge of lean, also on the airbox box I cut out the channel on the inside of the lid for a little better air flow since I wish to keep the snorkle. Thanks for any/all replies. DSG

I am glad to see your post. I live in williamsport pa. I usually ride at spraul state forest, (revovo). I frequent BLASTERHQ.COM . Accourding to what everyone tells me there, I am way to lean. I have a 96 blaster, k&n, no lid, dg pie and silencer, boyseen reeds, shaved head, lightly ported motor. 3rd position on needle, and a 260 main. I rode at top speed last summer for about 3 mile and it was definetly to lean. So I am going up to a 270. But on the blasterhq site they tell me to run a 300. I guess everone must live at sea level.

i live in pa also, and when i had my shee, with filter, no lid fmf pipe, and reed/spacers, i ran 280 main jet. i think you will still be very lean with a 270, i would start rich and work my way down

REMOVING THE AIR BOX LID MUST LEAN IT OUT QUITE A BIT, WHEN I WAS JETTING MY BLASTER I STARTED WITH A 270 MAIN & THE PLUG WAS WET WITH GAS & BOGGING, THEN WHEN I REMOVED THE LID, IT BECAME TOO LEAN. IF IT WASNT FOR ALL THE MUD IN THE SPRING I WOULD RUN WITH OUT THE LID BECAUSE IS REALLY INCREASED POWER.
